Missional Goals:
Practical [Matthew 25:35-36 & Hebrews 13:1-3]
We show the love of Jesus through the meeting of physical needs. Caring in this way opens the door for spiritual conversations and prayer by building connection and trust.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.” Matthew 25:35-36
Relational [1 John 1:1-3 & 1 Thessalonians 2:8]
Everyone needs a healthy community in which they belong and feel loved. Experiencing healthy relationships is a significant part of the healing process and can lead to a deeper relationship with God.
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:1-3
Spiritual [Matthew 28:18-20 & James 5:13-16]
The end goal of the House of Hope is to make life-long followers of Jesus! Encouraging people to pursue the first love of Jesus will reveal where all of life truly begins.
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
